I’ve been playing with 4-finger claw for the past few days and this is my updated version of my 4-finger claw guide and tutorial.
So today in this blog we will go through the following topics that will help you learn 4 finger claws.
- Find your optimal layout settings or the best layout controls for you.
- Finding the perfect way to hold your phone while playing with 4-finger claw.
- About basic settings and sensitivity settings.
- About practice and trainingI’ll tell you some training exercises that can help you use 4-finger claws at their best and also help you learn faster.
- And finally some tips and tricks to master the 4-finger claw.
By the way, the claw with 4 fingers is the most popular claw, as it is used by many players. Anyway, I know most of you are going to copy and paste the layout, which is fine. But trust me, creating your own layout gives you satisfaction and confidence that your layout has been designed just for you.
Even if you copy another player’s layout, it won’t be perfect for you and your device. so I highly recommend making your own layout rather than copying and pasting other players’ layouts.

Anyway, the basic layout for 4 finger claw is very simple, just drag your fire button on the top right corner. The scope button is in the top left corner. Use your left and right index fingers to press those buttons.
But wait there are a lot of people who have their fire button on the leftit’s completely normal, some players prefer to use their fire button on the left, and the other players prefer it on the right, it’s your personal preference.
By the way, when placing the fire buttonyou have to make sure to use this particular fire button, which faces the top right corner, don’t use the thumb fire button, because the fire button that faces the top left corner will have a camera shake.
Suppose if you move your finger over that button, your target moves while the other has no camera movement, but if you use it anyway, your aim can sometimes mess up.

So I highly recommend checking out the fire button that faces the top right corner, not the top left corner. Don’t worry, you can still control the recoil with your thumb fingers as it isn’t affected by using different fire buttons.
The following is about skinny or peeking placement of the buttons, I always place them under the fire button. I press those buttons with my thumb finger. I’ve been using this method for a long time, so it works best for me.
Set other controls
Now to the other controls, I have my . amended jump, climb, squat, lie & reload buttons so that I can reach them easily. But you can customize those buttons and place them wherever you want, it’s all up to you.
I saw a lot of players put their grenade cancel option behind the scope. And when throwing a grenade you can’t use a scope, so by placing your cancel button behind the scope you can save some space in your layout.
In the same way you can post the scope adjust the setting of the loot buttons, as the scope adjust button only works when you are in scope, and you cannot loot while you are in scope. So this would save you some space in your controls.
If you’re new to 4-finger claws, all you need to do is assign one task or one button for your index fingers. If you assign more than 1 button, it will be difficult and confusing for you to learn. So I highly recommend using only 1 button for each index finger as your thumb finger can handle more tasks.

For instance, my thumb finger can press peek, jump, climb, lie, squat and reload and weapon change. Basically, everything in this area my thumb finger does the job. The reason you should allocate more work to your thumb finger is that it can.
Normally, your thumb fingers will do most of the work when using your phones such as mundane tasks like scrolling Instagram, texting etc, so the thumb fingers are already trained to press multiple buttons quickly.
Whereas if you assign more than 1 button to your index finger, you may accidentally press the wrong one. That’s why you need to create flexibility for your index fingers, which can take weeks. Then you can add more controls later, but if you’re new to claws, use just one button for each index finger to avoid confusion.
But if you want to use your index finger to jump and squat, then after a few weeks of playing with the 4-finger claw, your index fingers will be flexible enough to handle those extra buttons and a little practice after putting extra buttons on your index fingers.
2) How to hold your phone while playing with 4 fingers
Now let’s talk about how hold your phone while playing with 4 fingers. Always remember that there is no perfect way to hold your device as each player holds their phone in a different way that they are comfortable with.
But I think the most common way to hold the phone while playing 4 finger claw is like this: put your index fingers on your phone like this and use your pinky fingers like this to prevent the phone from slipping or falling off. your phone falls. hand. and place your middle and ring fingers behind the phone.
So yes, this is the most common way to hold your phone, but if you don’t feel comfortable. Then feel free to find another way to hold your phone that is comfortable for you.
I only changed one thing, and I use a ring finger instead of a pinky finger on the left hand to keep my phone from slipping or falling out of my hand. And also if you use a thick phone case, you will have a better grip to hold the phone while playing.
3) Basic settings and sensitivity setting
Peek & Fire
The 1st is clearly on look and fire, and I highly recommend disabling peek and open scope, but if you’re a new player you might want to use it. It automatically opens the scope when you press peek, so you don’t have to open the scope separately, which is great for novice players.
But if you disable peek and open scope, you can lean out of cover and shoot at your enemies without exposing your body.
Lean Mode & Scope Mode
The next one is about lean mode and scope mode, I set them both to hold.
now to the sensitivity settings, you do not need to change your sensitivity. Because the sensitivity you have is perfect for you, because you’ve used it before. Changing the sensitivity makes it harder to learn. So I wouldn’t recommend changing your sensitivity settings.
But if you still want to change the sensitivity, then read this special blog: Best Sensitivity Settings for Pubg Mobile
4) Training Exercises
drill 1: Now to the training exercises, the first thing to practice is shooting with your new layouts, such as: fast reach and recoil to control things like that, so you basically have to zoom in and shoot and zoom out and change targets.
Drill 2: The following exercise is a bit the same, but you have to use squatso first you have to look in and crouch at the same time, and shoot, and then out and crouch at the same time, and switch targets and repeat this process.
Drill 3: The next exercise is to practice squatting and shoot, for a real object. Crouch and fire drills are extremely helpful in many situations, which is why you should master this drill. Always try to crouch and fire quickly and then pop out again immediately after you stop firing, try to do this as quickly as possible.
drill 4: The next exercise is: leaningLeaning left and right, or peeking left and right, is a really good skill to learn. So you have to practice this with the previous exercises.
Let me give you a few examples of how to practice learning. So find a tree, use it as cover and start shooting at different targets by leaning left and right.
Drill 5: The next exercise is: jump and shoot† I always practice jumping and shooting, but hey, you can come up with your own creative ways to practice and train.
5) Most of you may be thinking how long should I practice on training grounds?
Well it’s all up to you I’d say 30-40 minutes is enough to create and practice your own layout. Once you’ve completed your training process, head to Team deathmatches.
Here you have to use the exercises you have done on training grounds and play as much as possible TDMs if possible. Playing Team deathmatches is the fastest way to learn new controls, usually it takes me 1 hour to get used to the new layout by practicing in TDM.
